Marquette University--Pere Marquette Award

It has to be based on criteria other than GPA and test scores. My D also received $17,500 with 28 ACT and 3.8 GPA and only one extracurricular. Regardless of how they decide we’re thrilled she received it.

I received $11,700 per year. 3.4 GPA, 1960 SAT, 28 ACT (36 writing). Spanish/English double major, a lot of extracurriculars. I applied after the deadline so I was surprised to receive any merit aid

I got 17,400 with a 32 ACT and 4.2 GPA, good leadership/EC

Got only 13K with 4.8 weighted GPA and 33 act… a little insulting will not be attending because I got a lot more from other schools

$12,400/year with 31 ACT and 3.9 GPA. i was happy to receive it but I don’t think I’m going to MU anyway so

DS received an award but I need to understand how/if this would stack with any scholarship earned at the engineering scholarship weekend. Can anyone comment and save me the research time?

@Cheeringsection The literature for the scholarship weekend indicates that awards won at the competition stack with other scholarships (as long as they are not for full tuition).

Awesome! Thank you @Mtriplee .

Just got a letter that my award was increased from $12,700 to $15,200. Seems kinda random, but I’ll take it :stuck_out_tongue:

@GoPack87 when did you get the letter?

My daughter also got a letter on Friday saying her Pere Marquette award went up $3,000.

@sgallagher23 it was dated February 17, but I got it on either Friday or Saturday, I can’t remeber

@GoPack87 When did you get your first letter and when did you get the second letter informing you that your award went up?

$15,900 3.95u / 4.65w 33 ACT

My daughter got her package and letter today- $17,200 3.56 w, 30 ACT

I received my letter yesterday. $21,800 a year. ACT 27. Unweighted GPA 3.22.

I think a lot of it has to do with financial need.

My D got $14,600 Pere award, 31 ACT and 4.0 uw. I wonder how “financial need” is calculated? Our FAFSA said the EFC would be around $14,000. Seems curious…

I received $23,900 with a 3.38 uw and a 1370/1600 SAT with a 10,011 EFC going into a finance major

Yeah you’re right my EFC is about $12,000 @wiscomom46
