How selective is the Pere Marquette Award?
My D received letter today offering $12,300 per year. Any others?
I got $14,500/year with a 4.0 GPA and 31 ACT
I got $10,100/year with 3.8 GPA
I got $10,400/year with 3.94 GPA, 31 ACT, lots of leadership and service, and a job. It’s not going to be enough to go.
I got $13k a year with a 28 ACT and a 4.3 GPA
Today I got a letter stating I would receive $14,400 per year. I have a 3.9 gpa, a lot if leadership positions, and a 2080 SAT. I’m not sure if I’ll attend.
Edit- $14,900
Son got 10.5K. I thought that was pretty nice until I saw the amounts in this thread! Hopefully he can land another merit award before we have to look at need-based aid.
Daughter received $15,400 a year with 4.3 GPA and 32 ACT and lots of extra curricular and leadership.
I got 9800 a year with a 3.8 UW, 4.4 weighted, and 29 ACT. ECs and leadership were pretty good. Kind of disappointed.
Received $12K with 3.4 GPA, 32 ACT, lots of leadership and volunteer hours
I’m pretty sure the amount is only based on GPA and ACT scores.
I think it’s more than GPA and ACT. My D’s ACT was 33 with 3.98 UW GPA. and was offered $2,200 less than zth999.
I’m currently at a Catholic High School so maybe that helped, because my extracurriculars are nothing spectacular.
I got 15K nursing major, 27 ACT, catholic high school, 3.4 GPA, and many leadership/extracurriculars.
I got a $10,500 with a ACT of 27 and a GPA of 3.7 with a lot of extracurricular activities and a fair amount of leadership. Don’t know whether or not I will attend, the cost is still too steep.
Just received my letter for the fall 2016 semester. I received $16,300 with a 3.4 GPA, 29 ACT, a weekend language high school, theatre, and LOTS of extracurricular and leadership hours.
Received my letter today. $16,100 a year. 28 ACT, 4.5 W GPA and 3.8 UW GPA catholic high school, and a full IB diploma candidate
