Mary Donlon Hall

Hey guys does anyone have any suggestions as to how to pref singles/doubles/triples/quads in order to maximize the chance of staying in Donlon?

Since Donlon is the only hall with quads, do you guys recommend pref-ing doubles then quads then triples then singles, or quads then doubles then triples then singles?

I kind of would rather stay in a double, but would stay in a quad if pref-ing doubles meant staying elsewhere.

why are you so set on Donlon?

i’ve visited and donlon seems to be the most social dorm. plus they have an annual WSOP event! and I couldn’t find poker in any of the student clubs/organizations.

I just feel like Donlon would be the best for me. I won’t die or anything if I don’t get Donlon, it’d just be nice to.

Probably do quads then doubles. Also fill out your housing form in a way that indicates you are very social/don’t mind noise. These would be the best (and only) ways to maximize your chances of getting Donlon.

@Caillebotte: Isn’t it a lottery?

the housing lottery is for sophomores-seniors. freshmen just fill out their list of chances are then receive a housing assignment. perhaps the people who make the assignments use a lottery system, who knows, but it’s not a lottery in the sense that you would receive a number and select a specific room yourself.
