I called Housing and asked which houses had quads, which is my #1 room choice (because they have them in donlon lol). My fear was that I could still be placed in the suites (which are 6 people, as opposed to 4) in the Low Rises secluded from everyone else.

I was expecting her to just say Donlon, which is the only one I knew of. However, she said that ALL the houses have quads, which is contradictory to everything I've heard here and researched myself.

I'm probably going to call tomorrow again to see if I get someone new, because this doesnt sound right. Could anyone clarify please???

you could get stuck in a quad that is a double but with two bunk beds, i would be careful requesting a quad because you could get stuck in a tiny room with 4 people. the “quads” in donlon are two doubles with a common room in between them, so I am not sure if cornell even considers those to be quads.

I’ll definitely have to re-call and clear this up. I definitely don’t want four people to one room , and if they don’t consider the quads in donlon actually quads that ruins my entire “plan” lol. but i think they do…

Suites aren’t really what you’re thinking… at Cornell, a suite is generally made up of multiple separate rooms that share a bathroom and open onto the regular hallway. The Donlon quads (IMHO) aren’t the best housing option to go for. They’re a bit cramped. I don’t know anyone that’s ever been put in a four-person room, but I’d recommend going for a double over a quad… three roommates is a lot of random people.
