Marymount Manhattan Theatre Musical Theatre

Does anyone have info about rolling admissions at Marymount Manhattan? Getting nervous about getting accepted into BFA in MT elsewhere. It looks like I can still apply to Marymount Manhattan but can no longer audition for MT. It says on the website that one can audition in the spring, though. Anyone have any experience with this? And can I major in theatre in some way until the spring? It looks like you would still have to audition for “Theatre Performance” but I would assume that those are done too? If you know anything, please let me know. Thanks so much.

@fancytheatrekid I would call the admissions office but I am pretty certain most Theatre majors have an audition, interview or portfolio review required. However we met two current students on our last visit (one a sophomore and one a junior) that auditioned into the MT and Acting programs.

Hi there - I found this on the website and think it might answer your question. Looks like spring auditions are held for students who have not auditioned for MMC before. The admissions office or theater department can let you know which majors are non-audition or non-inteview/portfolio. One choice would be to enter MMC undeclared if you plan to audition in the spring. Wish you all the luck!

RE-AUDITION PROCESS
Students who were not accepted into the Theatre Arts programs after their first audition may not audition again. Those who did not audition prior to attendance at Marymount are eligible to audition during the Spring semester of their first year. This will be effective for students entering for Fall 2018.
