Here is one of my favorites: Avon Old Farms Winged Beavers.

deerfield’s mascot is just big green, i believe.

Deerfied = Green Doors

Okay here’s an answer from WikiAnswers (yes, I know the information may be apocryphal, but whatever, it’s not like it’s any less reliable than our own knowledge).

“In the traditional sense of a mascot, no Deerfield does not have one. By this I mean that the Academy is not represented by an animal and there’s not some kid who wears an animal suit running around at sporting events. But Deerfield does have a symbol, the Deerfield Door, but it is by no means a mascot. Deerfield is referred to as the ‘big green’ and that is generally used in place of a mascot. For example, the Deerfield community has immense school spirit, and at competitive events it would not be uncommon to hear yells of ‘Go Big Green!’”

I was writing this while swampedwithwork was posting, sorry for redundancy:

I don’t believe Deerfield has a mascot. Their fans cheer “Go Big Green” but that’s only a cheer made up to compensate for a lack of mascot. The Deerfield door is a symbol for the school and part of the school seal but certainly not a mascot. There are some odd mascots out there like Middlesex and Groton both being the zebras. The Tabor Seawolves (nickname for killer whales) is pretty sweet. My favorite, Colorado Rocky Mountain School is a cool boarding school in Carbondale, CO…they are the Rocky Mountain Oysters (the school has a good sense of humor).

Isn’t cushing a penguin? If so that is my favorite

Here is a strange one: the Kingswood-Oxford Wyverns.

i never knew that! i guess it’s true you do learn something new everyday. xP

Try looking up “Rocky Mountain Oysters”…

Is it me or do Boarding schools have the weirdest mascots? (ie.zebra, oyster,rhino)

penguin??

10char

Cate: Rams

NMH Hoggers.

I think it’s so weird (in a goooood way) that Deerfield is Big Green, Andover is Big Blue, and Exeter is Big Red. It’s pretty cool. I think Big Blue is the funnest to say though (:
