Massacre Part II? Post your Decision

Haha. Probably sometime very soon. I've been on bedrest with mono for over a month and this is basically what I do all day everyday. This is virtually my only contact with people my own age.

mono... boy do I have a funny story about mono.

EDIT: How did you get mono btw?

Do tell then.

Today is my four month anniversary with it. We're becoming verrry close.

I'm not entirely sure. I came down with it in the last week of my summer program at Brown. Finals week. How convenient. However, all the nurses and doctors I've seen have said that dorm living is the ideal situation for getting it. I was the only one on my floor who got it, so apparently I was just the most susceptible. And that's the truth. However, even if it wasn't and there was some juicy makeout story to tell, I couldn't tell you b/c my dad lurks on these boards. Hi Dad!

lindsey, how did you get mono?

David, see above.

I am downloading AIM because my interest has been piqued

hahahahahahah, hi Lindsey's dad. I don't think my dad knows how to use a computer... at least I hope not.

newT: I might get banned from CC.

About formating. Perhaps the first two lines can be standard if it is admission info.

IN ALL CAPS (ACCEPTED, DEFERRED, REJECTED)
(SAT, SAT IIs, GPA)

Than a space and any comments.

Non-decision posts could not have CAPS at the beginning. I'll try an example.

ACCEPTED
1200 SAT/340/360/700, 4.0 uw

Got really lucky. But this could make scrolling through results easy.

Yeah it could. I think that's great. I think the primary reason for the three separate lists were so that people who got the same decision could celebrate without feeling guilty, commiserate, and talk about what's next.

Last year, they made the mistake of too often only posting SAT I score and location
Let's remember that the admissions decision is based on SO much more!

let's not leave out the midwesterners who took the ACT!

Of course not, Sara. That goes without saying.

This would be a typicall post for non-decision related materials.

Random stuff could be talked about:

Purple Cows
220 Threadcount pillows
The meaning of mercury.

(You all know that you have seen more pointless posts).

Just an idea. Any more suggestions.

Ummmmmmmm....
Back to the best format for posting decisions...

chartreuseglass-you said exactly what i was going to post :)
I think there should be more about ECs or "hooks" or what people thought did them in or made them stand out. Because once you get to a certain point, i don't think SATs and the like count for as much.
Also, how about just starting a thread once the decision come in, because now this one is pretty crowded.
I like the idea of one that just has straight decisions for everyone, plus info and then celebration/commiseration threads for posting feelings and stuff. so that the class of 09 has something to pass down to future generations, ha, but still doesn't have to be depressed or feel bad about being happy, etc.

Brilliant, I think those are great ideas.

Yeah. I'm sort of excited about all this. Personally, I'm not going to check(unless curiousity overwhelms me) until after exams, but following threads on CC with other people's decisions should be fun. I kind of like the idea of one monster thread, but I just like chaos like that. Perhaps one monster thread plus three smaller ones, for acceptances, deferals, and rejections. Honestly, though, I don't think decisions will change the fact that we all will want to talk to each other rather than be sectioned off.

I have a friend who got mono at boy scout camp. He claims it's from sharing cups and stuff. :)
