Hello everyone,

this is my first post in this community, so I apologize in advance for anything I might say that could upset you or sound in any way impolite.

Long story short, I'm currently studying computer engineering in Genova (Italy) - undergraduate - with good-average grade, and I'm greatly interested in moving abroad within Europe for the 2011-2012 academic year to start my postgraduate studies. I have a C1 european level in english (CAE from Camdridge University ESOL examination) and I'm mainly interested in studying either Systems & Control or Embedded Systems software. I've read of some good courses and programmes all over Europe, from Switzerland to Scotland to France, but application to almost all of them requires letters of recommendation. Unluckily, I've lived in Genova for barely one year, since I've moved here from Bologna, my hometown, where I started my undergraduate studies, so I simply don't know as many professors here in Genova whom I can ask for recommendation.
Plus, I'd like to apply for as many master courses I can, to enlarge my possibilities of being admitted to some course and therefore actually moving abroad.

Is there anyone who knows of some engineering master course I could be admitted to without asking for letters of recommendation? I don't need any international high education level - I'd just like to move somewhere abroad and complete my education in engineering.

Moreover, do you think I could use a single letter of recommendation to apply for many different courses?

Any answer will be greatly appreciated,

Nicole
