Master List of Merit Awards

Cur....I heard the good news from Jmmom.....about a full scholarship for your D.......whether or not she goes to U of Miami....how absolutely wonderful for her (and her parents) to have such great recognition of her efforts.....I am delighted for all of you.....

curmudgeon, the way the Case merit award letter read, it seemed that they are providing a fixed amount every year. Or am I wrong about that?

Most but not all Case awards are a fixed amount but the trustee's award D received did not say it was a fraction of tuition (not 1/2 or 2/3 or 3/4 tuition). Just a fixed $25, 700 renewable. Some schools have both fixed awards and linked to tuition awards. Case is one. Case awards a very few (10-12-15?) full-tuition awards ( in addition to its fixed dollar awards) that rise with tuition increases each year. Boy that would be sweet. They are awarded in March, I believe- but this is from an ever more fading memory. I believe they make this stuff complicated to confuse us citizens.

Congrats on all of the great $$ that is rolling in.

Curmie baby,

I am so happy the all of the paper is flowing your daughter's way
cause it means we still get to drink for free on SA:)

Can I keep the chicken bucket?

This is my first post to this board. I have been lurking for a while and feel that CC has a lot to offer new college parents. My D is an only and this will be our first, and only, college experience, other than our own.

$5,000 renewable for NYU. It's not a lot but it does help. Still applying to private scholarships that have not passed deadline.

congrats ddsmom, and welcome to the world of posting. Be warned, it can be addicting.

Wow! I have to be away for a few days and look at all the $$$$ floating around!
Many many congratulations to Splash, Mudgette, dds, Condor's & momoffour's progeny.

Congrats to andi and andison!!! We were beyond pleased with WPI and their scholarship offer as well. DS was awarded the Marshall/Chavez/Means scholarship for full tuition for 4 years at WPI. It was the first scholarship (EA) he was offered this year, so it too was very exciting. The school has been very generous and son was thrilled.

I am sure andi/andison are just as pleased!

Again, CONGRATS!
