Congratulations to SimpleLife and son, gyoun09, nysoprano, whynotdreambig and daughter, and AliT0173 and daughter.

AliT0173, sorry for missing your post the first time around. Thank you for reposting the Oklahoma University acceptance and good luck to your daughter with her other schools and the scholarships. Waiting is hard, but it will be over soon enough.

D accepted at CCPA (Roosevelt University) for MM in Vocal Performance, so thatâs one down! I really donât understand why most schools havenât notified their Masters applicants by the required date, especially since the students have only until 4/15 to accept and get the deposit in. Undergrads are hearing much earlier than usual and long before the date of 4/1, but most of Dâs friends are still in the dark about this too.
At least she can sleep easy tonight!

D accepted for VP BM at SUNY Fredonia, Purchase Conservatory, Crane-Potsdam, Univ. Of Delaware-$5,000 Merit award, and (as previously submitted) Westminster Choir College-$16,000 Scholarship. 5 downâŠ3 more to go! Good luck to everyone who is still waiting! Thanks to Bass Dad for keeping us all informed!

^Huh. I hadnât noticed that until you mentioned it, BassDad. That really is an astonishing number of singers. Far more singers than instrumentalists, it seems, so far.

By my count, 32 singers so far out of 62 different screen names reporting acceptances. While not far more singers than instrumentalists total, certainly far more singers than practitioners of any given instrument. Also, in comparison to past years, a profusion of saxophones (4) and a paucity of violins (2).

Thanks again BassDad. Now that you mention it, it is true. But whether vocalists, or instrumentalists, It really is helpful reading all of the posts, and hearing about everyoneâs experiences. So comforting to know there are others going through the same up and down ride!

It really is interesting. And after you mentioned the large number of singers, I went back to your list and also immediately noticed the paucity of violins and profusion of saxophones. Strange how different the numbers are from previous years!

Son was accepted to Cornish College of the Arts with some scholarship money but probably not enough to attend there. His first acceptance, so that is a nice start. BM trombone performance

My D finally got her acceptance letter from University of Missouri-Columbia for Vocal Performance (soprano). One of the profs has been emailing her back and forth all week, so I knew it was coming. She also received a $3000 scholarship.
