Hi Everyone,

First off, thank you for welcoming me into the community! I'm a recent B.A graduate from a small, private school from the east coast. I majored in International Relations and absolutely loved it. I know diplomatic work and other IR careers are the way for me!

I wish to receive my graduate degree in Master of Arts in Liberal Arts: International Relations from Georgetown.

I recently spoke with one of the Georgetown heads for this Master of Arts in Liberal Arts program at Georgetown. They gave me great advice on this graduate program. It's more catered to older crowds and it's at night about twice a week. This is perfect for me as I hope to live at home about 2-3 hours away if I don't end up finding a job in the D.C/Georgetown area. The program also seems very prestigious but welcoming. The professors, as I'm told by a friend who attends there, are more than qualified and help in any way possible.

Now, I am really curious what you all think about this program. What have you all heard about it? How good is it? Is it worth it ($60k for the entire program but they cut it to $30k and no financial aid after that)? What have graduates gone on to do? Finally, what ranking is this program - I have a link below but am not sure if this is exactly it. I found a ranking that said 1. Georgetown 2. Harvard 3. UPenn. Can't find the link now but maybe it can help put some perspective here!

Thank you for answering my questions! I am very happy to be here.
