Master Program in EE Thesis option or just class

I have been admitted to Georgia Tech Graduate school for EE program upcoming Fall semester but I am in dilema since I am not sure whether I should choose Thesis option or not.

Some of the advisers and current PhD students are telling me that I will learn more by doing thesis option but my interest is not research. Is it really worth to do Thesis option in order to obtain better job after graduation? Will company recruiter think highly of you for having thesis rather than just taking classes?

Here’s the problem with the Ph.D students’ logic: your advisor is going to expect to monopolize your time until you graduate. This means it’s going to be very hard to convince him/her to let you get an internship over the one summer you will have while in the MS program, and that is going to hurt you a lot more than doing research will help.

I would personally just take classes. The few people I know who did thesis option from the same class I was in are now working research jobs elsewhere.
