Hi everyone,

I'm a new member and nontraditional student. I've gone to a couple of other colleges in the past, so I am (unfortunately) quite familiar with the financial aid process.

I just transferred to Northeastern University (College of Professional Studies) and will begin classes next week. I got my financial aid award letter and completed entrance counseling and the MPN over a week ago. My entrance counseling showed up as completed within hours; my MPN status is still "not received." I called the fin. aid office and they were pretty casual about it, but I'm getting nervous, especially since I can't find much information about lost / missing MPNs on the Internet.

Has anyone had an MPN go missing or experienced a delay in the MPN being matched to the student (or...whatever it is that happens)? Is there anything that can go wrong with the MPN that can prevent a financial aid disbursement? I'm sure I'm worrying over nothing (I tend to be on the anxious side) but the lack of info in response to my Google and Bing queries is disconcerting.

Thanks in advance! Hope I'll be able to add my hard-earned insight to some of the discussions here now that I'm a member : )
