How useful do you all think it is, they say they focus on undergrad grades anyways but how big or little of a factor does the master degrees play.

Having a masters degree or work experience after college is a factor that can help but undergrad GPA and LSAT score are still the main keys. In other words, don’t think it can make up for a weak undergrad GPA and particularly don’t think it will mean anything if you have a weak LSAT. Note grad school grades are not a factor at all.

If you have a a relatively weak undergrad GPA so long as it is above a 3.0, you may still have a chance at some T-14 schools as long as you score high on the LSATs (170/180 or higher). Several college classmates with GPAs well-south of 3.4…including one with barely a 3.0 managed to gain admission to T-14 schools like UVA and Georgetown straight from undergrad.

A masters degree will be a positive addition, but will not make up for weak GPAs or especially, LSAT scores.
