I’m unsure whether or not I should get a Master’s in biology before applying to Med School. Do they require it? Will I still be able to get in without getting one? I plan to have a Biology major.
Also, what sort of bachelor’s in Biology to they seek? Microbiology? Neurology? I gotta know.
A Master’s degree is not required for medical school admission, only a bachelor’s.
Medical school admissions officers don’t have any particular preference about undergraduate majors in applicants so long as they have completed the necessary pre-reqs for med school admission.
You don’t need to be biology, chemistry or biochem major to go med school. Among my daughters’ med school classmates there are music composition, agriculture, history, English lit, physics, electrical engineering, business, sociology, women’s studies, theology, Italian, public health, classics and dozen of other majors.
Question? If I’m placed in college algebra freshman year, how can I take calculus before senior year? It’s a dental school prerequisite and I need it. It’s also on the DAT
^^ don’t hijack someone else’s thread w your own topic.
