<p>As the title says, I have my major in life sciences but my heart lies in mech engineer. I'm crossed with the decision to try and just go for the mech engineer graduate program or if I should just restart and go for the BS then go for the masters then.</p>
<p>And if I should just go for the graduate program how would this look to employers and the like.</p>
<p>It really depends on the field, whether they’ll consider you to have enough preparation to pursue a master’s degree without a corresponding undergraduate degree.</p>
<p>You’ll have to research each individual program’s requirements to be sure, but I would guess that a graduate program in mechanical engineering might have significant engineering prerequisites. You would have to go back and do a second bachelor’s degree focusing on engineering.</p>
