Masters in Computer Science?

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Bilingual Education EC-6 and am planning on going back to school to pursue my Master’s Degree in Computer Science. I have read several reviews concerning this degree. Still it interests me since I’ve always had an interest in technology and computers. I am good in math but have not taken any advance math courses. Still since math is my favorite subject and love solving mathematical problems I know that if I take any advance math courses I will pass them and understand them too.

I would like to know what you recommend. Since I didn’t take any computer science courses during my undergrad years and planning on pursuing my master’s in computer science. Any tips, books, or any other methods in helping me out during my grad years you guys recommend?

I think you should go for it if its something you want to do. If your concerned about the math and computer classes look into getting into tutoring your first day of school. You will be fine.

@Chuchena you’ll likely need to play catch-up if you wish to pursue a MS in computer science. While most programs don’t require a bachelor’s in CS or a related field in order to pursue the MS, you’ll be competing with and/or studying with students who have the background.

You may want to take introductory courses in programming, data structures, algorithms, and computer architectures, or otherwise make sure you understand the material, before applying.

That’s what I was thinking of getting some tutoring while enrolled in school. I am not concerned of the math portion though because I know that with one time that they explain it to me I understand it. I believe that if I buy some books in programming, data structures etc…and study them before applying I believe I would at least have some understanding and won’t go in blind folded.
