I have a dilemma here that I was hoping to get advice on. I am currently looking at places to go back and get a second degree. I have already had several people tell me that I should NOT go back to school but since all I have is a degree in History, I figured it would be the best thing. First of all, I plan on moving so I am kinda limited to the degree plans at the schools of my choice.I cannot stand where I live, so staying here is not an option.

My first choice is a Masters in Education which I can do entirely online, but I will not lie, I would use it to just get out of the classroom. I am tired of kids and today I was called the N word and the parent did NOTHING about it, so yeah I am done. Checked out, gone.

My second option is a bachelors in Communications. I love to write and I would like to go into either PR or journalism. I like the classes and I think they are interesting. The only problem is that the classes are on a yr rotation and if I miss one I have to wait a year for it to come back around. I need about 13 classes I think.

The last option is a degree in English at another university. This university is smaller, cheap, but they seem kinda wishy washy. I went and did a class with them and they said I needed 10 classes which I took one leaving online 9, but they could not get my degree plan right and even said i needed to minor in history. The department chair and I agreed on just taking 30 hrs in English, but my degree plan does not say core complete(unlike the other uni I graduated from) and when I asked the dept chair for a note saying I didn't have to take GE classes, she sent one but it wasn't "official" and it was through email. I only need 9 classes to go but I worry that they will mess up and I will have to take more classes later since they were disorganized the first time.

I really just want to get out of my current job and go into something else that I enjoy doing and that doesn't have to deal with freaking kids. I wanna work around grownups or at least people my age. Which degree would you advise? Please help!
