I've been looking for the past months for a good masters program in renewable energy Engineering..I've looked mainly in Germany..and there is one program that really grabbed my attention: Global Production Engineering/Solar Energy, offered by TU Berlin..but the problem is I don't know if this program is REALLY good or not..Will it help me find a job in the field? how is it regarded globally in the job market..? If I want to apply for a PhD after finishing, will I find it easy to do so if I apply outside Germany?
also I am still looking through the universities in many other countries like US, UK and Canada..Here I also need to ask, how are German programs regarded in comparison to the other programs?
Also please guys, tell me what good programs you know about for renewable energy engineering

Check out the School for Renewable Energy Science in Iceland:

What do you actually want to do within renewables? It seems to me like you’d be better off with a degree from a traditional field and focus on that particular topic that interests you.

what kind of renewable energy are you interested in?

solar - EE/mat e
biofuels - chem e/bio e
wind/turbines - m e/e e

I personally would like to have done some solar energy stuff. It was my ambition to work with solar cells coming into college, because it seemed like such a large area with untapped potential. But my school didn’t have anyone who works on solar power. But maybe I should have applied to some abroad programs in Germany or something, because they seem to be actually taking this renewable energy movement seriously.
