My college list currently includes eight very selective schools and an in-state low match. I want to add some matches and safeties to my list to safeguard against having only two or three acceptances in April. What schools would fit my credentials and interests?

Academics and Extracurriculars:
Ranked 1st in class
2400, 800/790
NMSF, AP w/Distinction
National, state, and regional awards in math and science olympiads, theatre, music, and government
Strong extracurriculars

Interests:
Chemistry and natural sciences in general
Theatre
Music -- as in symphonic and chamber music
Bona fide "ethnic" foods :)

With stats like that, chances are your eight very selective schools are probably matches themselves.

In terms of science/music, I've heard that Berkeley is a really good choice there in terms of a double major. You look like a lock there, especially if you're from CA.

University of Rochester is a very good "poor man's ivy." It's easier to get into, it delivers a top-notch education, and it has a similar feel to many highly selective schools.
