Hello, I am planning to apply to McGill's Materials Engineering for 2013 Fall and I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the program and my chances of admittance.

I currently go to University of Toronto for Rotman Commerce and after 3 dreadful years, I decided to follow my passion into engineering. (I did not have Chem during my senior year of high school, and was not able to apply to engineering)

I'm from Ontario, so according to McGill's admission standards from previous years, I need 82% overall and 83% in each math and science courses in top 6.

Here's part of the grades I have so far for my top 6:

[89%] ENG4U: English (2nd try)
[87%] MHF4U: Advanced Functions
[95%] BBB4M: International Business

I will be enrolling in 4U Chemistry, 4U Physics (will be 2nd try), and 4U Calculus & Vectors (will be 2nd try) next week.

Note: I do not want to apply as a transfer applicant. I wish to have a fresh start on my undergrad.

Thanks!
