Hey everyone, I am taking the US and Math 1 subject tests. I am a little nervous for Math 1 (I am getting 650-660 on practice tests and would like to get a 700). Does anyone know any tricks for Math 1 or just general advice to help me and others improve our scores? Thanks in advance!

sleep. and relax.

Buy a TI-89

yeah, buy an 89 and change to math 2 instead because it looks better as a test in general and you can miss a few more questions and get high scores.

lol I would take math II but i haven’t taken trig/pre-calc yet :(

me neither but im still taking math 2

Nice job! Was self-studying that hard? Just thinking about it now, I might prepare for Math II this summer and take it in the fall…could you tell me about your experience?

I did some self-studying, but I did not kill myself or anything…mostly just binge studying. I recommend that you start with SparkNotes Test Prep; it has full reviews and example problems to all the concepts covered in the SAT Reasoning and all Subject Tests. Then if you create an account you also have about 6 free practice tests you can take, but I only recommend taking a few and then switching to the official CB Math Level 1 and 2 guide.

I have been getting 770 on teh practice tests, and I am relying on my adrenaline to get me 800 lol (got me 800 on the SAT Reasoning).

Any tips? Read the question. Just because you have an answer does not mean it is the one that they want.

I only scored a 610 – only 10 points above average. The curve is harsh. And some of the material is just stupid. It’s basically a 50 question test of all the hard SAT Math questions.
