Math 16A

How is Math 16A if you already took calculus in high school. Any recommended professors? Work load? Class difficulty?

Thanks guys

if you took calc in high school, then you’re set. i managed to pull off an A+ in the class, and i hardly ever went to lecture or read the book.

Math 16A is the easiest course you will ever encounter. Stop fussing.

ok you shouldn’t necessarily listen to the two people above. it really depends on the person. math 16a (if you came from a public school like me) is MUCH more difficult than high school calculus. i got an “A” both semesters in high school calculus and a 3 on the AB exam and ended up with a B- in math 16a. very disappointing. i made the mistake of thinking i knew everything and didn’t study as much as i should have. i did all the homework and went to every class and everything, but i didn’t do extra problems when i know that would have helped.
i had professor Lam…this is the website so you can see in general how the course is: [Math 16A, Fall 2008](http://math.berkeley.edu/~doker/16A/)

good luck!
