<p>This is from the Math CB All Subject Test book,
What is the period of the graph of y=2tan(3px+4)?
A) 2p/3
B) 2/3
C) 2
D) 1/3
E) p/3</p>

<p>I thought it was 2/3 because the period is 2p/b where b is in tan(bx+c), but the correct answer is D, 1/3 and I just want to know why.

<p>Its different when its tan. Its not 2p/b but just p/b. I don't really know why though.</p>
