I’m a prospective computer science concentrator who’s always had an interest in math, and I’m trying to decide which course would be better for me. I am not the best at math, but I did manage to pull off a 5 in AP Calculus BC. However, I struggled a good bit with the IB Math HL exam (I’m expecting to get no more than a 5 out of 7). I love anything physics and engineering related, which makes 200 especially appealing to me. However, the added challenge of 350 seems like it could be fun.

I was wondering if any of you could comment on the differences in difficulty/content between Math 200 and 350 at Brown. I want to take a challenging math course, which is why I am not considering 180. However, I also don’t want to kill myself. I want to be able to enjoy my first semester without too much stress.
