I am a high schooler interested in taking math 53 and 54 from UC Berkeley. Is this possible?

I dont know, maybe. I suggest that U study on your own, because high school time is enjoyable.

You might be able to take it through UC Extension

It's been done before. There were definately high school people in my 53 section. There may be an official program for high school students to take classes at Berkeley; I know UCI has one. Try searching the UCB website.

if you live in california, 53/54 credit will be taken at berkeley from any (i think) CA community college, take it there, much easier than at berkeley (& much cheaper)

i took 53 at a community college in missouri, still waiting on word from the college of chem whether they will accept it, but from a CA college, the answer is most likely yes

darkhelmet, check www.assist.org to see if its transferrable as 53

you can take summer classes at berkeley, all you have to do is pay the fee

i have a few friends who took 53 at CC while they were in highschool, and one of my friends actually had a multivariable calc course in his hs
