Hi everyone,

I hope this is the correct place to post. I am planning to spend 2012 spring in Rice University, as a third year math and physics double major from Europe. I am somewhat confused about the course descriptions in the course listings, as they are mostly very short and not so descriptive. Is there anyone here I can ask about the contents of certain courses, both in math and physics? I would be very happy to get some answers and get rid of the question marks in my head.

Thanks,

You really need to call someone at Rice. Try either the math department or whoever your contact is for the exchange program. Enjoy your semester!

Pinot is correct. Talk to the department in charge of the program. they will explain what courses you can take as well as what qualifies as transfer credit etc.

Thanks for the answers, that’s probably the way to go.

If you want opinions on professors or classes (that you can take and are thinking of) please post back. We will be happy to help you with that.

I graduated last May with a degree in physics, so if you have questions about specific classes or professors I can probably help.
