I had 4 math sections + luminescent fish. Some of the math seemed kinda meh, but in general I didn't really have a problem with it.

I know I got at least 2 wrong so not too abd I guess lol.;)

yep i had the luminescent fish and the math experimental
i know the absolute value one you mean.. about the distance between peoples houses?
yeah the last 3-4 of that math section were really hard

I won't have a clue how I did until we get the results back. I do fine on the tough problems, but make a lot of stupid mistakes on the easy questions.

OK, I had math experimental, luminescent fish, but I'm pretty sure no distance between houses...

Was the math experimental the one where the last question involved averages if you took a number like 70? away?

lets try to keep the discusion about the diferent tests and experimentals in the other thread. the board is messed up enough already with about 3 threads per topic. Lol.
for the garden i got 53(ithink) it was 4 sides * 2 for the ends and 3 sides * 15 for the inside ones.

Yeah 53 is right.

Bah, stupid cookie problem was so easy that I overthought it. Lol.

So far it seems that I got one wrong and omitted two. Can anyone give me a rough estimate of my score? Hopefully it's above a 740?

the last question for one of the sections was really hard... it was something like (2x-1)(3x-11) and it asked how many values of x produced a negative answer or something... the answers were like none thru four and i didn't get it at all... stared at it for 5 minutes

It's 4: values 0,1,2,3 (at 1st I was intimidated, but then I just went old-school and plugged in values)
1. 80/3 or 26.6 for last grid-in on #1 section Math(if you had it)
2. 11 for the question about median in #1 section Math
3. 8.5 for parabola one in #1 section Math
4. (C) for pail problem
5. I and III for the second to last one on the last math section and was about an odd/even test
6. 4 for the last math math problem on the test about how many values produce a negative answer in some function
1 i don't remember

2 i think i got it (about some prices that went 17000, 13000, and 12000, right?)

3
. 8.5 for parabola one in #1 section Math
if you mean the one where one zero is at (-1.5,0) and the other is at (t,0), i got 5/3 after brooding over it....i plugged in (-1.5,0) after writing x^2-xt+1.5x-1.5t.....uhh..

4 definitely correct, thank god...

#5 i've got III only because you could have y as even (xy+x^2=odd number, right? you could have 4 as y and 3 as x, and you could get 21, which is odd), and

6 i've got three, not four because 1,2, and 3 work...0 wouldn't work because it will make the first term negative too, making the whole equation positive.

(2x-1)(3x-11)

oh yeah, everyone....for me, this question at the end of this section was about finding the radius of a small circle stuck between four bigger circles, and i got 2^1/2 - 1. (square root of two minus one), using pythagorian theorem. anyone else got a different answer?

-super edited- ;)

i just realized that my #3 explanation doesn't make sense. mannn....hmph. well, i was going to give up on that one anyway :( can anybody explain this to me?

For #3 the other key was dividing 7 into 2 parts which yields 3.5 and then adding the 3.5 to 5

For #5, the other condition that could've worked was the statement x+y must be odd

For #6, I'm not sure if that's the correct expression there. I'm pretty sure it was 4 though

And, that last question, you got correct. Good job :)

6 the expression is correct. um, i don't know what you are saying about the fifth one though...is it right or wrong?? thanks ;)

so far it has been proven for a fact that i've gotten AT LEAST 3 questions COMPLETELY WRONG. i've got the speed rate one wrong because i stupidly put 30. ugh. i actually thought that the math section wasn't that bad, so i guess i just screwed it.

i got the veggie one wrong, too!!!! i forgot about the five servings per day thing and counted everything that had at least two fruit and two veg!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I"M DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-edit:
how do you guys know which one was the experimental one already?

I don't exactly remember question number 5 but I'm definitely sure the answer was 8.5.

For # 6 the expression was (2n + 1)(3n-11).

Was the veggie one 2?

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

um, question number five? it's the odd one, no? what 8.5? (the parabola one, i know i got wrong)

actually, now that i come to think of it, i may have put 4 for the question #6. :p

veggie was the last two only i think, its somewhere explain earlier in the thread but im not lazy to find it
