I've read from several different sources that the Math program at St. Olaf is quite good; can anyone give me more info about it?

Also, any suggestions of any other good math programs at other schools? I know there are excellent programs at schools like MIT and UChicago, but I don't have straight A's so those schools are out of the picture.

I graduated with a math degree from St. Olaf years ago. The math department was excellent then, and it’s even better now. My oldest daughter was looking into math departments last year (she’s a college freshman now). We had coffee with a math professor from one of the most selective southern schools. When I happened to mention that I had a math degree from St. Olaf, he said something like, “They have a very good program. We try to model ourselves on them.” Pretty good testament to the quality of St. Olaf’s math program, I think. (Daughter ended up going to school in North Carolina - closer to home, and warmer than Minnesota.)
