Math - Computer Science vs. Computer Science

<p>So, I got accepted to UCSD, but not to my first choice major (Computer Science). If I go to UCSD, I'll probably switch to the Math C.S. major if I can't switch to the CS major. What's the difference between Math CS and CS? From what I can see, Math CS seems like Math with CS on the side... </p>

<p>Also, I got accepted to CS at UC Davis. If I wanna do CS, should I go to UC Davis and do CS, or should I do the Math CS major at UCSD? </p>

<p>@darthwader‌9999 I just have the same question like yours. My intended major is CS but I only got into my second choice-applied math. It is confused because UCSB accepted me into CS with Regent Scholar award while SD just kick me out of CS and put me in the math</p>
