Math/Econ at UCSD or Financial Math at UCSB?

Assuming I get into both (TAGed with prereqs), which one should I go to? I'm not sure what I want to do yet, I just know that I want to have a decent paying job using math and statistics, and that I'll likely be going to graduate school.

I applied for Math/Econ at UCSD, SB and LA. SD’s program looks very impressive. The major is also designed for grad school in economics. With this major, you are provided a strong math curriculum that will more properly prepare you for grad school. You should look into both majors and see which one suits your interests best.

if yu have above a 3.6 then go to UCSB cuz those who have a 3.6+ get into their Honors Program : [Letters & Science Honors Program :: Honors Program Benefits](http://www.honors.ltsc.ucsb.edu/benefit.php)

if u have under a 3.6 then go UCSD

3.6 before or after Spring 2010?

If you have a 3.6 go to LA. 3.6 is higher than the average admit and if you do well in your classes at LA, you can do the Scholar’s Program. The program would allow you to actually take grad classes and earn your masters concurrently with your bachelors.

Furthermore, a 3.5+ gets you into the Honors Program at LA.

I applied to LA but my GPA is somewhere between 3.43 and 3.5 right now. Is it my GPA after Spring 2010 that counts for these honors programs, or before?

3.6 before spring of ur transfer.

why are u guys talking about LA when he asked about SD and SB??

Well I don’t have a 3.6, so UCSD then?

yupp, from an academic perspective
