So I LOVE math AND econ (so far, I'm only a rising sophomore, but I always loved these subjects) and have sort of figured out that I'd like to double major in Actuarial Mathematics and Economics. However, I am worried that maybe it will not lead to a career that I want. This sounds so corny and stupid, but I want to do great things, go places, always be learning, making a difference. I know its dumb idealistic stuff like that but I guess I worry that I'll end up at a goofy dead-end desk job.

Essentially, my question is: what can I do now in college (besides study hard) to ensure my success and satisfaction with this major? I feel so overwhelmed by everything at my university that I don't know where to go to try and get involved in the departments! I think I got so caught up in being a freshman (join a frat, made lots of friends, all things I DO NOT regret at all!) that I sort of lost sight of the ultimate college goal (I still got a 3.8 in grades though). Please help me! I yearn for challenges! Thanks!!!!!
