Math/Econ or Math/Statistics?

<p>I go to UCSB which offers a Financial Math and Statistics as well as a Math/Econ major. Both majors have almost identical prerequisites. Soon it will be time to decide what to declare.</p>

<p>Which one do you guys think would open more doors?</p>

<p>I picked up math because I enjoy it and I know it shows good critical thinking but, I am interested in going into anything from banking to sales to marketing.</p>

<p>I don’t see Econ being as useful for sales and marketing as Statistics would be. Banking is served well by both.</p>

<p>UCSB doesn’t seem to have a business major so financial math+stat is your best option.</p>
