Math for admissions

has anyone gotten into a top university/LAC by only going up to pre-calc senior year? I can only go up to pre-calc unless I take summer school to get into AP. Is it worth it? did anyone else just go up to pre-calc and get into a top school? thanks

Not sure what you define as a "top school", but I know kids at UWisconsin, UMichigan, Colgate and Vanderbilt, just to name a few, who only completed pre-calc. I actually know a number of kids at Penn State who didn't even take that (but I'm not sure CC would consider that a top school)....
One thing to consider...if all of your other classes are honors/AP, this may make a diff in a top 20 school....If not, it may not matter in that those schools would be reaches anyway without the "rigorous curriculum" criteria achieved.

I think i take a pretty rigorous courseload

Honors and AP courses
Sophomore: AP Euro
Junior: APUSH, AP Psych English 11H and Chem H
Senior: AP Lit, AP gov, AP bio (with physics) and possibly AP calc if i take summer school

This is along with regular french and regular math and some electives

I know a student that got into Northwestern with Alg. 1 & 2, and Geometry.
