Math I and Math II to fulfill SAT II requirement?

Hey guys,

Well I just received my SAT Subject Test scores and they're despicable. However, I'm decent at math and all my regular decision schools require SAT II's. Would taking both the Math I and Math II subject tests suffice for the requirement? I know this would almost be like cheating the system, but to be honest, this would be the only way I can pull out with two 700+ SAT II scores.

Thanks for the help guys!

^most schools require SAT II’s from different areas and it make you look 1-dimensional if you do something like that.

Probably depends on the school, but most schools say that you can’t use Math I and Math II to count as two separate subject tests, and even if they do allow it, I think it would look bad.

Well I really got to decide. Look bad by looking 1 dimensioned or look bad by sending in one 700+ math score and one mid 600 other score… Uh I hate this college process.

Do you have time to retake? And what schools are you sending them to?

I would say most schools would figure out your intentions and not look favorably on it? Read the school sites closely or c0llegeb0ard site to make sure they dont spell out which types of tests they want to see.

a mid-600’s score isn’t bad. personally, i’d send out a mid 700s and mid 600s score before sending out two mid700s math scores.

Alright, thanks for the responses guys.

It is not an issue of choosing whether you should look bad. Colleges that require SAT IIs usually require that they be in different subjects and for those, if you send two maths only, you will be rejected for failure to submit the two required SAT IIs in different subjects, so you won’t even get a look much less looking bad.
