If I take Math I and Math II does it count as two SAT IIs or just one still?

If a school requires you to take a Math SAT, then taking both of those is a plain waste of time. If they require 2 SAT IIs, then take one of those two and another, like a science or something. Definitely, never ever take both Maths and use them as the 2 SAT II requirements.

I don’t feel comfortable taking the other subject tests, It’s a bit late and I need to take them in october and there’s not really much I could do, for the SAT I i scored a 700/730/700 reading/math/writing so a lot of the schools im looking at require two SAT IIs, would it meet the requirements if its Math I and II?

Harvard, at least, says no:

Even if a school allows you to, it wouldn’t be a good idea.

Go onto the College Board website and preview the questions for each SATII. Choose the one that seems the most reasonable for you and start studying. I imagine that submitting both Math SATIIs would not be looked on with favor.

Math 1 has a wicked curve. If you have had higher math you will find Math 2 more forgiving. Without careful preparation you may get a higher score on your Math 2 than your Math 1. That would not be favorable. Contrary to showing mastery of the higher level, it will show carelessness at the lower.

Schools want two SAT subject tests because they want to see mastery of skill in two distinct subjects. Math 1 & Math 2, are not different subjects, they are two levels of the same subject.

I see, I was considering U.S. History, is that test on an AP level or Academic? Also is it possible to change the two tests I want to take if I already signed up?

Yes, I think you can make changes to your registration online. If you are past that date just tell the proctor when you go in which tests you want. I believe US History will be on the AP level. You can take some test questions on the college board site to get a better idea. Prep books for subject tests are fairly inexpensive and can be found on Amazon. These are both good questions to ask in the SAT Forum. Students there are preparing and know this stuff forward and back!

I don’t know what you mean by “Academic.” The test’s questions are probably similar in difficulty to those on the AP test, though some report that the Subject Test is less focused on concepts and more on facts.

What you signed up for has no effect on what you can take on the test day.
