<p>I really want to be a doctor, and I'm really good at science but I dislike math with a burning passion. I'm good at math As/Bs, but I want to know if becoming a doctor really only involves science, or if it requires math skills as well.</p>

<p>Many medical schools require calculus and/or statistics. You’ll be using math in your science classes.</p>
<p>So I get that premed will require math, but what about the actual career part of it? After med school and residency </p>
<p>Unless you’re going to work in some sort of science lab, your job won’t require anything beyond algebra. My mother is a doctor and the most I’ve ever seen her do is add numbers…</p>
