I'm considering doing a summer intersession class in math (Statistics/Behavioral Sciences). I've never done an intersession class before and wanted to get peoples feedback who have. I'm a little nervous about taking the class because that's a lot of math to be doing in such a short time. I would really like to get it out of the way though so I can focus on taking other classes the next few semesters. I plan on transferring to state school next fall (2015).

Am I totally crazy for considering this?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I am not a student but I am a college professor and have taught shortened condensed courses in the summer and intersessions. You’re not crazy, but as you are already aware, it will require more focus and certainly be more intense. If it is the only class you are taking and you are not trying to work too many hours a week, it can work fine. Sometimes it is better to take a course in a short time because you have fewer distractions and can eat, breathe and sleep the subject matter. On the other hand, if you struggle with math, it probably would not be the best idea because you will probably end up being very miserable.
