math issue.....

Hello, I am a Sophmore in Highschool. I have a little issue.

The math program at my school is screwed up, they are trying a new system the SIMMS system. In 8th grade, I took a class called Algebra/Gemoetry 1 (the equivalent to the first half of Algebra 1 and the first half of Geometry.) Last year, as a Freshman, I took Algebra/Geometry 2 (the equivalent to the second half of Algebra 1 and Geometry.) This year I am taking Formal Advanced Algebra Trigonometry and Statistics (the equivalent to Algebra 2). I am only 1 year advanced, and I wished to be 2 years advanced, so I am taking Pre-Calculus this summer through The Center for Talent Development Equinox program at Case Western. As a Junior I will be taking Calculus AB. Since my school is small we don't have an AP Calculus class, so I won't have a math class to take as a Senior. This is a problem since the CTD program doesn't count as a class on my transcript, and doesn't count toward graduation. To colleges, it will look like I only took 3 years of math, when I really (kind of) took 4. I was wondering if there was a way I could indicate that I took the equivalent of 4 years of math to any colleges that are looking?

Man, I used the word equivalent a lot.

I don't understand- why do you want to be two years advanced when you're going to run out of math to take anyway?

Under the EC section of your application, state that you took Pre-calc over the summer at (name of program).

you could take a class after Calc at a local college or something...

yea you could work something out with your school to take calc II or something at a local college, that would not look bad, much better than dropping math totally (or atleast appearing to)

A local college class.

or statistics.
