MATH MAJOR & PRE-MED...Good fit..? where..?

hey,

I am planning on majoring in math and doing pre-med courses. Is this an advisable track? I know that math counts towards your science GPA and well I have more of a passion for math than science, however, I ultimately want to become a doctor and attend medical school and really not burn out with too much science courses as it could be hazardous in many ways to my undergrad experience. I was wondering where I could attain a strong GPA (3.6-3.9ish) with a good math major/pre-med fit, and also enjoy school without burning out too much.

I guess at least with the following:
Duke, Vanderbilt, Emory, Notre Dame, Ann Arbor michigan, Northwestern, Penn, Carleton College, Georgetown, NYU, or any other ideas..?

I also am hoping which ones also have a top acceptance rate to med school (above 80%)... In addition, I am assuming majoring in math is somewhat easier than science..??????????

I'm sorry that I cannot answer your question, but I have also considering double majoring in chemistry & math when I attend college. However, I am not considering the double major for the same reasons you are. I understand that higher math courses are considerably more difficult than any high school can provide, but I have grown to appreciate math (despite many boring teachers!). I just feel that having a strong math background in college could open up unexpected doors, even if I want to ultimately go into the medical profession. However, if this is not recommended or very unorthodox, I will definitely reconsider, because I don't want to do anything I will regret!

ru the dude from Deerfield High School with a 1480 SAT who was rejected from Cornell and waitlisted at JHU??????
