Math Minor

I would post this in the "other majors" thread but it isn't as active as this one?

Here's my question:

I'm currently a freshman finance major and for some time now, I've been contemplating picking up mathematics as a minor. I don't plan on being a professor or something like that. I just want to involve myself in something more analytical along with finance during my college years. I'm currently taking Calc in college and I find it to be easy and sometimes fun.

Would you advise that I add on Math as a minor or have I been deluded by euphoria:)? If you suggest yes, what should I expect as a Math minor? Does it get extremely complicated as Math majors who plan on going on the professional track? Could any current Math majors or minors go into more details on what focusing in this particular area entails? Would really appreciate it.

Why did you put a question mark after your initial statement?

Minor in math if you enjoy it. Whether or not you do so is not going to make much of a difference when applying for jobs (its a nice little attribution though).

A math minor is not too complicated. Most of it will be straight forward. You need to tell us what a math minor actually entails at your school though. Typically you will need to take something along the lines of Calc 1-3, linear algebra, differential equations, and a basic proof class.

Math major is way more difficult than math minor.
