I'm from UC - Berkeley and was recenly accepted into Haas school of business, but I'm somewhat hesitant to accept because I also enjoy math and would like to major in it.

Which major would be most beneficial to me? What can u do with a math major? I'm ultimately aiming for ibank/consulting, but I like the fact that I can fall back on
accounting if I go Haas.

Double major is out of the question because the way Haas is structured will make it really difficult to complete both majors on time.

Very good question. Considering Haas’ reputation for career placement and networking I really think that should be your top choice. However, a minor in math, stats, or CS would be great for you and help set you apart from other applicants. Business’ need people with technical and quantitative skills.

So, overall, Haas trumps a math major alone, right? I’m thinking about a minor too but that also kind of squeezes my time out to take more advanced accounting classes that prepare me for the CPA.

@eminem: lol, i really think that backpack thing is only a rumor. i mean, how can they not give backpacks out, it’s become sort of symbolic around campus.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but can you get a job in Business with a Chemistry major and math minor? Has anyone heard of this happening or something similar to it?
