<p>Computer Science isn't really about programming. You'll take a handful of programming classes to learn Java, C, Assembly, and some other languages, but the vast majority of your classes will not be about programming. You'll probably do some programming in most of them, but most higher level courses will be math, math, and more math.</p>
<p>Theres a saying that goes something like "Computer science has as much to do with programming as astronomy has to do with telescopes."</p>
<p>I think "programming" might actually be "computers", but to give an idea of what is meant by that, the field of computer science existed before computers (it obviously wasn't called computer science though, it was just a subfield of math).</p>
