Is it possible to do Math in undergrad and Aerospace Engineering in Grad School ?

I am sure it is, though I believe you would need to take some aero courses to be able to get anywhere in grad school. The problem with all math is you won’t learn fundamentals in like thermodynamics, fluid and solid mechanics, system dynamics and control theory, propulsion, flight mechanics, etc.

All of these things are needed so you can take advanced coursework and even be able to understand research you might do for the aero department. But, the benefit is the math degree will surely make the theory in these areas much easier to grasp, so it may not be as tough to learn for you.

I’ve actually seen it go the other way with a professor I looked up who got a BS/MS in Aerospace and then a Masters in Math (then a PhD in Aero).
