Mathematics of Computation at UCLA vs Mathematics-Computer Science at UCSD

As you can tell, these two majors are the alternatives I have for the schools. Since I did not get accepted into CS in neither schools and the chance of me changing major to CS is close to nonexistent. I would really like to know which one will fit my situation better. I am aiming for a programmer job after I graduate. Thank you, any tips would be great!

Math of computation at UCLA is very math heavy. And if I recall they take the PIC-10 series which really isn’t enough for CS jobs. Ucsd offers more “CS” for that major.

Thanks for the reply. Math-CS at UCSD is more or less the same too. They do offer more “CS” courses. However, the ones they offer aren’t really that useful. And the better ones are all CSE major restricted like UCLA. Their math-cs is about 70% math and 30% cs. I am not sure about math of computation at UCLA.

Oh and one more thing to add. I am a transfer student, I have taken the equivalent CS classes at CC. I think I can skip the PIC-10 series
