<p>An XL twin mattress is 80 inches long.</p>

<p>I use the kind of mattress pad (twin) that has elastic on all the side and although it is a tight fit, it does fit on the XL bed. I also have two fiber bed type things under it as well. So with the right one you shouldn’t have any trouble.</p>
