Maximum allowable units UC question

Hi. I went to a private 4 year institution and took only lower division courses for a year and a half and got about 40 sem units. I transferred to a cal CC and started over with a new major and by the end of this year will have about 90 quarter units from the CC. Does this preclude me from admission or the TAG program? Can I decide to not even count the private institution courses for my gpa or for units?

If all the units are lower division, then the cap is 70 semester transferable units or 105 quarter units.

As long as there are no upper-level units (not even one), you will be able to apply for admission. If you have one or more upper-level unit, you are not eligible to apply. However, only 70 units will transfer over.

Awesome I thought I was so screwed!

Just keep in mind last term must only be at a CCC, so don’t combine any courses from any place other than a CCC. It can be more than one CCC.
