^ Because whales are mammals?

For the last question of Bio-M, with the protein/DNA stains, did the correct answer have a dashed plasma membrane?

Did anyone get a string of As for the first part of Bio-M? I think it was the one with nervous system as the first response to stimuli, and complementary DNA/restriction enzymes.

"^ Because whales are mammals?"

Yea

For the last question of Bio-M, with the protein/DNA stains, did the correct answer have a dashed plasma membrane?
-i think so? the chromosomes were really dark and everything else was lighter.

i put green for the color range at which CO2 will be least ... can someone explain why its violet or something?

Because the O2 production will be greatest in violet light, thus reducing the CO2 concentration around the plant because there will be more oxygen.

Violet was the color with the highest photosynthetic rate. Photosynthesis consumes CO2, so violet light could result in the least concentration of CO2 (since it is being converted to glucose)

how many can you get wrong to still get an 800? :

You can probably get ~3 wrong and still get a 800. It all depends on how hard the test-writers thought this test is.

what did you get for the eye question-- D B C?

3 wrong is 790 in the blue book, but if the curve is slightly better then it'll be an 800.

^^ eye question first one i got A..retina

Hi...did anyone take E? I skimmed the M & thought that it was too wordy.

I looked through this whole post & I think that all the questions are answered. Any new questions? I studied a lot for this test from prep books but the actual test wasn't really like the ones from prep books, not even the actually CB book (the actual test was harder). I guess I won't use them next time.

People seem to be discussing the last few questions about the animals in the core section a lot (earlier in this thread, sorry). Was there a question about primates?

& what does the spleen do?

THANKS:)

i took bio e! :P

spleen recycles blood cells i think.

i put the linear thing for the insect graph.. but idk, it's probably wrong.

i thought the insect graph was exponential..
cuz the question didn't ask what happens to the insects after the tree fully decomposes

wee someone who took E! lol

ok, i got the spleen question wrong. im stupid. i put that it recycles cholesterol...!

i think you might be right about the insect/log graph. i thought that the whole core section was too easy - i did it all really fast - & i read this whole thread...& i might as well cancel. i put exponential for the insect/log graph, but i might have interpreted the question wrong. does anyone else agree that the wording for basically all the questions were awkward? they werent like the prep books at all!

A question about the rat lab: What did the last question ask about what should remain controlled/varied? Sorry I can't explain it well - the one with same food, genetic diversity....as answers. What was the question to that?

THANKS:)

exactly what i thought toucan

I put same diet for the rat question

^^I totally agree that the wording was awkward. I said that the diet should be the same, because that would be a variable that should be controlled. I don't know if that's correct, but some other people got it as well. I think I got about 5 wrong, so I'm not going to cancel even though I'm really tempted to.

i put diet, too

do u guys know the curve for the bio test? what's the max number of questions i can get wrong to still get a 750 or above?
