May 2007 - Physics

1MX, I don't know whether I should respect you for your perfect score or steal your brain :P

According to nasa.gov, "The intensity or brightness of light as a function of the distance from the light source follows an inverse square relationship."

You should loathe me, I loathe the time i spent in that class too.

well, i failed physics, left 8+ blank probably 10+ wrong

Did anybody try to use stoichiometry for that rate of heat loss problem? I found the slope of the curve at approx. 35 degrees C, and I used the given constant...It ended up being 8eN+1 (N being whatever power they gave us, I don't remember).

And wow, intensity of light following the inverse square relationship...I lose. Thanks Barron's, thanks.

what do you need for a 700?

omg. that test was incredibly hard. ..........

i took IIC and Physics, and I couldn't cancel Physics b/c IIC was easy, and I didn't want to cancel them both.

Does anyone know if I stay for the 2nd exam of the day and if I leave everything blank for the third page (hence, the 2nd exam side), and turn it in, does the collegeboard recognize it as if I only took only one exam?

55/75 is still like a 730

Actually, 59/75 is an 800 for the test in the blue book. And considering that this test was harder, the curve for this test will most probably be better.

Foil you said:
4) Stopwatch time an error

but i'm pretty sure that isn't right...
i remember one answer that made a lot more sense... i just cant remember exactly what it was...

also:

1) Angle of reflection and refraction increase as angle of incidence
that is correct

and do you have the questions so i can remember what i put... i only remember some of these...

The answer I said for the experiment one, the one you said stopwatch for, was that air resistance impacted the ball because the formulas don't account for that.

Considering that the small size of a ball and the low height from which it was dropped, air resistance is negligible. I remember the times being quite low (a few seconds?), so the reaction time of a human does have a considerable effect.

i also said it was because of air resistance.......

i dont think the question is fair...

: (

i wanna cancel my score and take it again because i think i can do better... my average on both PR and barron's ranged from 770-800....... and i got a 790 for the one in the blue book...

i skipped like 11 on the actual test and probably missed 7ish....

i hope u guys did well tho... someone has to beat the system the evil system ><

oh dont worry, i think we all failed, i did anyways

Yeah don't worry. Everyone so far has said it was difficult. I've done about 15 practice tests, usually getting 800. I don't think I even got 750 on this one.

does that mean the curve is probably gonna be nice??

idk... how many did u guys skip/miss...

I skipped four and got about 11 wrong --> I hope that's still an 800....

the pedulum questions....

the neutron and atomic number questions...

the kinetic energy (last question).;..

was the answer to the experimenters one NEWTON!!!! I really hope so....

i put Newton for that one...
skipped four and got 11 wrong is probably considered good on this one : (
im doomed tho...

today is the last day to cancel one's score... should i do that...

T-T but im running out of time too!!............

and Foil, how do u manage to remember the Qs and As.........

What did you guys put for the question with...." when photon with 4 valence electrons is put into a box with...2 atoms with 0 valence electrons each"?

I'm not sure if that was the exact question
