December 2007 Physics

Please place your comments on the physics test; I found today's test easy, does anyone else concur with me? Or did I fall into the traps.

I agree with you pal. Definitely on the easier side....

mmmhmm easier than expected. :)

Hmm.. I was very confident on about 2/3 to 3/4 of my answers, and made educated guesses (leanings after elimination) for most of the rest. At this point though, my score could go either way; I'm not sure. It doesn't help that I'm only starting Physics for the first time this semester as a senior. Good luck everyone, and I look forward to discussing questions and answers at the appropriate time. =)

it was so much harder than i thought it would be

gosh.. thanx ccri.. I thought I was alone who thought it was harder..

it was definitely a lot harder than previously administered tests. this version had a lot of questions with subchoices(A only, B&C only, and so on). i don't like those particular questions too much...

how was it so much easier????

man.. I really wish the curves are lower than usual..

n ya.. even I hate those type of questions..

yay! the embargo is lifted! ok, everyone start discussing physics questions.. I'm really curious to see which ones I got right and wrong.. tries to remember some of the questions

I thought I did bad in the last physics test, but by the Gods, I did WORSE on this one. There were so many questions about electricity and magnetism and so few about mechanics... T-T It was waaaaaaaaaaaay hard.

well.. I do hope that it was hard for majority of people... I so wish the curve to be lower this time..!!! wot do you people think../.???

There were many questions about electricity and magnetism and these 2 topics are my strong points!
I think thats the reason why I felt the test was easy (touchwood)...

what did you guys put for the question about the rotating drum with a slit and a beam of particles hits a target at an angle. I put that showed that particles have mass ('cause if not then they would go straight no?). I found the test was easy IF (thats a big if) you saw through the tricks (there were many of 'em esp. the I only, I,II only etc. answers). I think curve will be more lenient on the lower score range but the same as usual on the higher score range.

hmm.. that was one of the few i left blank, i remember it was on the last page and i barely didn't have time for it.

I put down that particles have charge...completely guessed.
Anti-particles: positrons

Well, there was no electric field so they shouldn't have been deflected (not 100% sure though). I thought it had to do with inertia, and you can't have inertia if u have no mass.

i think i put velocity for that one

largest mass - neutron wasnt it?

yup... neutron..
